Details & specifications

Description

The Foldaway Folding Booster is a unique Booster Seat. It is designed for ease of use and portability. Its super light weight makes it fantastic for surprise child guests. Furthermore, it is especially good for daycare centers with a large range of different child ages and sizes. The folding feature, in conjunction with its lightweight and built-in carry handle make storage and transport quick and easy.

Innovation and Design

Hundreds of hours of design and engineering went into the development of the Foldaway. Made from injection moulded plastic, it features a full backrest and side-impact head protection. It also weighs in at less than 2kg. This means it does not require a top tether strap, which makes it exceptionally easy to use and install. Simply place on the vehicle seat, and use a lap-sash seatbelt to secure the child and the Booster Seat in the vehicle.

The Foldaway Folding Booster passes the same Australian Standard criteria that all other Booster Seats sold in Australia must pass, even those with top tether straps.

FAQs

Common questions

Contact us

When should my child move to a booster seat?

Move your child when they have outgrown their forward-facing restraint and meet the requirements of the booster. Shoulder height markers, rather than age alone, help indicate when it is time to transition.

Does my child need to move to a booster as soon as they turn four?

No. Children can remain in an appropriate forward-facing restraint with an inbuilt harness until they outgrow it according to its shoulder height markers and instructions.

What is the difference between a harnessed car seat and a booster seat?

A harnessed restraint secures the child using its built-in harness. A booster positions the child so the vehicle’s lap-sash seatbelt can fit their smaller body correctly.

How should the seatbelt fit when using a booster?

The sash belt should sit across the middle of the shoulder, while the lap belt should sit low across the hips and thighs rather than across the stomach.

When can my child stop using a booster seat?

A child should continue using an appropriate booster until the adult seatbelt fits correctly. For many children, this may not occur until around 10–12 years of age.
